Registration

The Dixie Amateur is one of the oldest amateur golf tournaments in the United States. Our mission is to attract a strong field and participants must have a USGA handicap of 5 or better to be considered by the Tournament Committee.

You may already be on our invitation list. A complete listing of those who are considered for the competition is listed below. We don't want to miss anyone. All requests will be considered by the Tournament Committee. Please complete the Players profile.

Women's Division Deadline Extended to December 1st, 2009

Our Tournament Committee will consider all applicants. Please list any notable Golf Accomplishments: Our Tournament Committee will be sending invitations to the following:

Men's Division
The Men's Divisions shall consist of all eligible former Dixie Amateur Champions, entrants as invited by the Tournament Committee and entries received for the following accomplishments:

  • All qualifiers of the 2009 USGA Junior, Amateur, & Mid-Amateur Championships
  • All qualifiers of the 2009 British Amateur Championship
  • All Amateur Section qualifiers of the 2009 US Open Championship
  • Participants in the 2009 NCAA Division I & II National Championships
  • Top 20 Amateurs as ranked by SPWAR – Men & Boy's
  • All State Champions (past and present)
  • 2009 Champions from the following Amateur Competitions:
  • Northeast Amateur Champion
  • Porter Cup Champion
  • Western Amateur Champion

Women's Division
The Women's Divisions shall consist of all eligible former Dixie Amateur Champions, entrants as invited by the Tournament Committee and entries received for the following accomplishments:

  • All women with USGA handicap of 5 or better
  • Members of NCAA Division I and Division II Golf Teams
  • Participants in the 2009 NCAA Division I & II National Championships
  • Top 20 Amateurs as ranked by SPWAR – Women & Girls
  • Past and Current Champions of the following events:
  • Women's Dixie Amateur
  • USGA Women's Amateur
  • USGA Women's Amateur Public Links
  • Women's Southern Amateur
  • Women's Eastern Amateur
  • Women's Western Amateur
  • Southern Junior Champion
  • Western Junior Championship
