Built for the pros, and now the permanent home of the prestigious Dixie Amateur.  Heron Bay Golf Club features an 18 hole championship golf course situated inside one of South Florida’s most upscale residential communities. Both the course and practice facility were built to house the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic (1997-2002).

Along with the history of the PGA TOUR’S Honda classic, Heron Bay Golf Club continues its reputation for excellence with the Dixie Amateur. 2009 also saw the addition of the Big Ten Match Play Championship which was broadcast on the Big Ten Network. The Big Ten Match Play Championship will return to Heron Bay in 2010 and two major Division 1 conference championships and a series of collegiate spring break tournaments will be announced shortly.

Heron Bay’s practice facility features huge tee areas, 40 acres of landing areas, 3 regulation practice greens, 3 greenside hitting bunkers and the finest turf conditions.

The range at Heron Bay has newly installed lights and will be open at 6:00am during the Men’s Championship during the first two rounds and the other championships if needed. The range will also be open until 10pm all nights of all championships. Titliest Pro V Balls will be used for pre-round warm ups.

Heron Bay features one of the top pro shops in the country, The Heron Bay Grill and full locker facilities.
