Welcome to the 78th Dixie Amateur!

Thank you for your interest in playing in the 78th Dixie Amateur. As you are probably aware the Dixie Amateur is an exclusive invitational, looking for a field that includes the world’s finest golfers.

Applications are now being accepted (www.dixieamateur.com/invitation/). Automatic acceptance comes with meeting the qualifications laid out on the web site (www.dixieamateur.com). After those slots are filled International Rankings, National Rankings, Player accomplishments and then order of application will dictate how the field is filled.

Applications must be filled out fully and submitted with the tournament entry fee to be considered. In the case any applicant is not slotted in their respective tournament a full refund of the entry fee will be given to the applicant.

All three tournaments will have fields of 168 players. The three events (Senior, Men and Women) are scheduled on different dates, please make sure you accurately note which days your event is on. No tournament fee refunds will be given after November 1st.

With the move to Heron Bay Golf Club, six time home of the PGA TOUR’S Honda Classic, we expect an extremely strong response and, therefore field.  Early acceptance will be granted to highly ranked players immediately and a wait list will be formed with for those on the bubble. The Final Dixie Amateur field will be announced on November 15th, 2008.
